Hanging pictures is one of those projects that no one really likes doing, right? It’s like, so many tools just for one simple task: The nails and hammers, screws and drills; the levels and tape measures – all.the.things.
Then you hang the picture and it’s STILL not right. grumble. grumble.
We just finished a 5 day kitchen transformation in this absolutely beautiful kitchen…
And I wanted to give you a fun little trick of how to hang a picture perfect every single time. And you’re not going to believe that the ONLY tools you need for this project are the screws, a drill…and the secret….TOOTHPASTE! That’s right, you heard me. Just regular toothpaste. (the blue kind is the best!)
So what you do is you put a dab of toothpaste right where you are going to hang the picture.
Then you line up the picture on the wall exactly how you like it,
press it into the wall and WAH-LAH! The toothpaste marks tell you exactly where to drill the screws
and your picture is exactly how you envisioned it to be! No more re-dos needed!
